    Part Removal

Achieving a premium painted finish starts with proper preparation—which is why we begin every chrome delete with the full removal of your vehicle’s trims. From smaller details like badges and door handles to larger pieces like window surrounds and roof rails, each removable component is carefully taken off the car and disassembled for off-vehicle preparation and painting.

While this step does take extra time, it allows us to paint each part thoroughly and professionally—free from overspray or rough edges. We don’t believe in masking trims and spraying them while still mounted if we can avoid it; that approach compromises the quality and longevity of the finish. By starting with complete disassembly, we ensure your vehicle gets the meticulous attention it deserves from the very first step.

    Chrome Preparation

Proper prep work is essential to achieving a lasting finish. Before any paint is applied, we thoroughly prepare your chrome trims to ensure maximum adhesion and long-term durability.

This process involves sanding the surface to create a proper texture for bonding, applying a high-quality primer, and then re-sanding to refine the base before moving into the painting stage. Taking the time to do this right means your trims won’t just look great—they’ll stay that way for years.

    Paint Application

Every chrome trim we refinish is professionally painted inside our controlled spray booth. To ensure complete and even coverage, each piece is either securely placed on a bench or carefully hand-held during the painting process. This hands-on method allows us to reach every angle and edge—eliminating the risk of chrome peeking through, which often happens when trims are painted while still on the vehicle.

We use a two-stage paint system: either a deep black or colour-coded base coat, depending on your preference, followed by a protective clear coat. The clear coat is available in either gloss or satin, giving you control over the final look to match your vehicle’s style.

We exclusively use high-quality, automotive-grade paint products, and our clear coats are UV resistant. This ensures your trims maintain their finish and won’t fade or discolor over time, even with prolonged sun exposure.

    Quality Assurance and Reassembly

Once your parts have been painted and dried, they undergo a thorough inspection. We carefully examine each trim for any imperfections or areas where the paint application may not meet our high standards.

If a trim doesn’t meet our expectations, we take the necessary steps to repaint it, ensuring that we always deliver a flawless finish to our customers.

For trims that only require minor touch-ups, we refine the surfaces with a buffing and polishing process, restoring them to a level of quality we know you’ll be satisfied with.

Once we’re confident that each part meets our stringent quality requirements, they reinstalled on your vehicle. This takes a few hours to a full day to complete depending on how many trims need to be installed.

    Final Check and Handover

We’ve now reached the exciting part—getting your vehicle ready for you to see the transformation.

We start by thoroughly washing the exterior, ensuring every detail is perfect. Then, we carefully inspect the painted parts once more to confirm that they meet our high standards, checking both the quality of the finish and the fitment.

Once all steps are completed and everything meets our rigorous quality checks, your chrome delete package is officially finished and ready for handover!
